- Body of RFP SF 1449 This is a non-personal services contract to procure a system capable of simulating a beyond design-basis event at a nuclear power plant including the simulation of fuel damage utilizing the MELCOR computer code. The task will be to provide a mobile system consisting of state-of-the-art computer hardware and video displays capable of displaying, in real time, plant parameter values and core melting following an accident at a boiling water reactor (BWR) type plant and a pressurized water reactor (PWR) type plant. Also included is the purchase of a second set of hardware so that the system may be used in two classrooms simultaneously.
