Description: Building 300 Elevator Upgrades Solicitation #DTFACT-15-R-00041 Amendment 1: This announcement is updated from a Public Announcement Pre-SIR to a Request for Offfers - SIR. The solicitation is now attached. Offers will only be accepted from those companies that attended the mandatory site visit on August 18, 2015. The offer due date has been extended until September 8, 2015 at 12:00 noon. ****************************************************************************************************************************** Pre-SIR Issuance Announcement/Market Survey, Invitation to Site Visit: 1. Introduction/Description The William J Hughes Technical Center has a requirement for elevator upgrades. The work includes the provision of all labor, material and equipment to upgrade the elevators in Bldg. 300, complete in accordance with the attached plans and specifications. The work includes, but is not limited to the following: Demolition of existing hydraulic jack units and installation of new hydraulic jack units New elevator control system and door operators New elevator accessories New elevator cab wall, ceiling, and floor finishes Renovation of Elevator Machine Rooms Replacement of all electrical equipment within the Elevator Machine Rooms New split system air conditioning units New chilled water fan coil units Tie in to existing Fire Alarm system. 2. Period of Performance 300 days from date of Notice to Proceed 3. Set-Aside or not Set-Aside The level of competition will be determined based on the response to the mandatory site visit. If a determination is made that adequate competition exists among small businesses, then the project will be set-aside, and an amendment will be made to this announcement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 238290 - Other Building Equipment Contractors with a size standard of $15 Million. 4. Standard Language (tailored as applicable) This announcement serves as an invitation to the mandatory site visit being held on August 18th. Offers will only be accepted from companies that attend the site visit. Offers are due September 1st at 2:00 pm. An awarded contract may result from proposals submitted without discussions. The Government will not be liable for any costs associated with the submittal of a response to this SIR. 5. Delivery Requirements Response to the invitation to site visit and offers submitted under this announcement must be emailed to Karen.Mercer@FAA.Gov. No phone calls please 6. Other (if applicable) A mandatory site visit will be held on August 18th at 9:00 am at the William J Hughes Technical Center (WJHTC). Respondents are asked to send the completed Business Declaration Form (attached) and email along with the name(s) of attendees to Karen.Mercer@FAA.Gov by COB August 17th. The WJHTC is a gated, secured facility. Companies that are not on the list given to security will not be admitted. 7.
