- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is offering for sale one (1) item of timber on approximately 83 acres total located within Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg, PA 17210 of which approximately the following volumes to be harvested: The sale will be sold as LUMP SUM. 1 TIMBER ON 2 BLOCKS TOTAL (83 ACRES) SAWTIMBER 214.302 MBF PULPWOOD 221 CORDS The harvesting of the timber must be completed between the following dates: September 1, 2015 through May 30, 2016 and August 1, 2016 through September 30, 2016. No harvesting of trees shall occur between June 1, 2016 and July 31, 2016. Timber may be inspected by prospective purchasers between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, except holidays through Thursday August 27, 2015. Sealed bids will be accepted until 8:30 a.m. Monday August 31, 2015 by the Letterkenny Army Depot, Natural Resources Office, Building 14 1 Overcash Avenue, Chambersburg, PA, and then opened publicly. Forms for use in submitting bids are attached within the Additional Documentation tab in this posting or on the left hand side of the screen under Complete View, within the additional documentation you will find an Invitation For Bid link as a pdf file.
