P15PS00891 - OZAR Acccessible Walkway Base Solicitation Issued: 25 June 2015 Amendment 1: Issued 13 July 2015 Amendment 2: Issued 16 July 2015 Amendment 3: Issued 19 August 2015 The National Park Service (NPS), Department of Interior, is soliciting proposals from construction firms having the capability to perform the work as described below: a. This requirement is being set aside as a HUBZone business set-aside in accordance with FAR 19.1305. In addition to being a HUBZone concerns, offerors shall be small businesses under the acquisition NAICS in order to be considered for award. b. Award of this solicitation will result in a Firm Fixed Price contract. c. The desired completion date for this contract is 2 October 2015. d. Specifications: See Attachment 1 - Specifications, Attachment 2 - Drawings, and Contract Sections C- e. The magnitude of construction is between $100,000 and $250,000. f. NAICS: 238990, Size Standard: $15.0M g. See FAR Clause 52.236-27 concerning an organized site visit. RSVP to terri_dyke@nps.gov. h. The Government will provide tax exempt information for the purchase of construction materials associated with the execution of this contract. i. This project is intended to provide a new accessible walkway to the front entrance of the historic Alley Roller Mill building. The work includes: 1. Demolition and salvage of an existing stone walkway; 2. Construction of a new reinforced concrete walkway, together with a bridge to walkway transition pad, and a bench and wheelchair rest area, all surfaced with exposed aggregate concrete and totaling approximately 155 square yards; 3. Replacement of an existing bridge timber at the connection to the new transition pad; 4. Construction of a new 8-foot by 8-foot landing with handrails, and surfaced with flagstones; 5. Modifications to the building at the connection to the new landing; 6. Construction of transitions to existing aggregate surfaced trails totaling approximately 85 square yards; 7. Construction of storm water collection structures and piping; 8. Turf restoration, and other related work.
