- Description
- The OE-562 SubHDR Antenna System Mast Group provides Extremely High Frequency, Super High Frequency and Global Broadcast System communication capabilities for US Naval Submarines. The first rapid prototype antenna delivered in June 1998 completed testing onboard USS PROVIDENCE in August 2000 and was deployed in 2001. Today there are over 100 SubHDR systems in service. In order to support current operational demands of the US Navy through current life expectation of the SubHDR system, the Navy is seeking a redesigned MMS with a Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) of 30,000 hours or greater to increase the Reliability, Maintainability and Availability, (RMA) of the OE- 562A/USC-38(V), Submarine High Data Rate (SubHDR) antenna system.
