Description
THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 0001 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR POWER OPTICAL FEEDBACK STABILIZED 20W SUPERCONTINUUM LASER SOURCE. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to: 1. Revise the technical requirements as follows: FROM NASA/GSFC has a requirement for a power optical feedback stabilized 20W supercontinuum laser source. This source is required for measurements of optical scatter from the visible through shortwave infrared wavelength region. Stabilization of the output power of the supercontinuum source at levels less than or equal to 0.5% in the visible over hours is critical for application in making reflective and transmissive optical scatter measurements. Long and short term output power stability are required better than 1.0% at blue wavelengths and better than 0.5% at red wavelength over hours. TO NASA/GSFC has a requirement for a power optical feedback stabilized supercontinuum laser source. This source is required for measurements of optical scatter from the visible through shortwave infrared wavelength region. The required minimum optical powers from this source are 3mW/nm at 600nm, 4.5mW/nm at 800nm, 4.0 mW/nm at 1600nm, and 2.0mW/nm at 2200nm. Stabilization of the output power of the supercontinuum source at levels less than or equal to 0.5% in the visible over hours is critical for application in making reflective and transmissive optical scatter measurements. Long and short term output power stability are required to better than 1.0% at blue wavelengths and better than 0.5% at red wavlengths over minutes to hours. 2. Revise CLIN 1 - Description as follows: FROM Power Optical Feedback Stabilized 20W Supercontinuum Laser Source TO Power Optical Feedback Stabilized Supercontinuum Laser Source The due date for receipt of offers is not extended. Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on August 13, 2015.
