Description
SOLICITATION MCC's mission is to provide grant assistance to support economic growth and poverty reduction in select developing countries with a demonstrated commitment to just and democratic governance, economic freedom, and investments in their citizenry. MCC's partner countries enter into a five-year agreement (Compact) with MCC that includes a plan for achieving shared development objectives and the responsibilities of each country in achieving those objectives. Our model is defined by core principles, of selectivity, country ownership, transparency, and a focus on results. Our values identify who we are and what is important to us. Our Values are CLEAR: Embrace Collaboration, Always Learn, Practice Excellence, Be Accountable and Respect individuals and ideas. MCC's values define how we behave on a daily basis, both as individuals and as an institution, in pursuit of our mission. They guide how we make decisions, set priorities, address challenges, manage trade offs, recruit and develop staff, and work together with our country partners and stakeholders. This position is located in the Department of Policy and Evaluation (DPE), Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC). The mission of the Policy and Evaluation Department is to provide expert guidance on the policies underpinning MCC's investments, including the economic focus of those activities, and to manage the technical economic analysis and evaluation methods that form the foundation of MCC's engagement with partner countries. This includes the development and conduct of rigorous independent evaluations of MCC programs; management of MCC's annual country eligibility process for compact and threshold programs, and suspension or termination of MCC assistance; oversight of development and implementation of MCC Threshold Programs; promoting policy and institutional reform in partner and candidate countries; and promoting MCC's learning and results agenda by monitoring trends in global development policy and sharing lessons learned and best practices internally, internationally, and among US Government agencies and other donors. This position supports the Vice President for the Department of Policy and Evaluation, as well as the Deputy Vice President of the Department. PLEASE NOTE: This contract shall be awarded solely to an individual(s), not to a firm. The selected individual shall have an active registration in "System for Acquisition management (SAM)" at the of award.
