- Quantum Tape Library Maintenance Pursuant to the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), the Contracting Officer may solicit from one source if the Contracting Officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source is reasonably available. The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Program Support Center (PSC), Acquisition Management Services (AMS), on behalf of the Office of the Secretary (OS), Assistant Secretary for Administration (ASA), Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) and Information Technology Infrastructure and Operations (ITIO) intends to sole source to: Quantum Corporation PO Box 203876 Dallas, TX 75320-3876 DHHS, OS, ASA, OCIO and ITIO will require renewal of technical support and hardware/software maintenance for the Quantum Tape Library already in use at ITIO. These libraries are used for tape backup with media sent offsite storage for protection of ITIO and their customer data. In order for Quantum to cover our Tape Libraries with the Data Center move, the Quantum Tape Libraries must be covered under a current maintenance agreement. This purchase will ensure proper shutdown, take down, re-install, and startup of the Quantum Libraries. This is not a solicitation for competitive proposal. No solicitation document is available. All responsible sources that have determined that they can provide the same services may submit product information and a capabilities statement that speaks to the services OS/ASA is seeking in this proposed acquisition. The email subject line must reference OS157666. All responses are due by August 21, 2015, 12:00 PM Eastern Time and can be sent to Anthony Adebayo at Anthony.adebayo@psc.hhs.gov. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract base upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
