- Word Document of Sources Sought Aerial Loudspeakers Request for Information (RFI) INTRODUCTION Joint Special Operations Air Detachment - Uganda (JSOAD-UG) is conducting market research to determine the availability of aerial loudspeaker systems that meet a brand name, or equal item, specifications listed in the RFI section. REQUEST FOR INFORMATION Items requested: PowerSonix AHD1200S (1200 Watt, 4 horn (2-by-2) self-contained amplified speaker payload for UH-1H helicopter) Loudspeakers, or an equal item. "Or Equal Item" specs must meet: Horns: 4 in a 2 by 2 array Amplifier: PSAMP1200 Operating Voltage: 24-32 Volts DC Sensitivity: 1 Volt RMS @ 1KHz Frequency Range: 400-500 Hz THD: Less than 1% SPL @ 1m: 142db Range at 70dB: 1.25 miles (2000m) Transducer Resistance - 1.8Ohms per driver Batteries: (2 per AHD1200 in series) - 14 Volt, 50 Ah Operation Time Per Charge: 4 Hours Continuous Speech Battery Charger: 25 Amp; Fully Automatic Temperature Range: -40 C to 50 C Audio Path: +/- 30 degrees Finish: Power Coat (Olive Drab Standard) Weight of Complete AHD-1200/ Payload: 198.5 Lbs/90 KG Space Requirement for AHD-1200/Payload: 25"x15"x36"/53.5cm x 38cm x 152cm Additional Items Required: PSRCU-L (Remote Control Unit) PSBAT-14L (Left Battery Case) PSBAT-14R (Right Battery Case) PSCHGR-28PB (AC-DC Battery Charger) PSCBL-BAT-1 (Battery to charger cable) PSCBL-RCU-Y-15 (Y-Cable for dual system operation) PSCBL-RDR-1A (Auxiliary audio cable for COTS MP3 players, smartphones etc.) PSCBL-AHD-1 (Battery to battery series cable) PSCBL-RCU-10 (Remote control cable for testing and single system operation) At this time JSOAD-UG is NOT looking for proposals/quotes.
