Description

The purpose of this pre-solicitation modification is to answer one (1) question received as of 8-20-2015: "In paragraph 2, the 7th bullet point, has a reference to 'the Veterans Affairs Medical Center Historic Preservation Plan.' What is this document? I have searched the VA web site and I have come up with the Cultural Resource Checklist106.pdf, but nothing at all under the title given." Answer - This has to do with the historic preservation plan. The site is classified as historic, so any alterations must be approved by the appropriate agencies. For the most part, anything that is done external of the building should go through an approval process. A new building would fall into that criterion. The new building will need to be designed to fit into the current campus architecture. There is currently a new historic preservation plan project on the books. Please see attached for three (3) documents that will provide additional understanding. All three (3) documents are listed below: 1.Section 106 Cover Sheet Instructions; 2.Section 106 Memo; and 3.2012_09.07 VA Leestown Phase 1 Report SRJA END OF PRE-SOLICITATION MODIFICATION
