Description

This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought synopsis only for market research. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (hubzone, 8(a), small, small disadvantage, or service disabled veteran owned small business) relative to NAICS 339112 (size standard of 500 employees). Large size businesses are encouraged to respond as well. The Veterans Affairs, VISN 22 Network Contracting Office, is seeking sources for a potential brand name or equal purchase order for various medical supplies and equipment form Thermo Fisher Scientific, Inc for the VA Long Beach Healthcare System. See attached for a complete item list. The intended purchase order is for 12 months. Response to this notice should include company name, address, point of contact, size of business, socio-economical category, and a brief summary of how your company meets the needs of the government (no longer than one (1) page). The response must also identify whether or not the suggested platform, in its entirety including services, equipment, reagents, etc., is either all on an FSS/GSA/NAC contract or, some or all is open market. In addition, the response should identify whether or not subcontractors would be utilized and if yes, then what percentage of the work will be performed by the subcontractor(s) as well as their socio-economic category. Responses to this notice shall be via e-mail response to elaine.wong@va.gov and michael.munoz2@va.gov. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses must be received in writing no later than August 24, 2015 at 1:00 PM PST. This notice is to assist the VA in determining sources only and a solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Responses to this sources sought is not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation.
