- Under the authority of FAR Part 12-Acquistion of Commercial Items, and FAR Part 13-Simplified Acquisition Procedures, the 409th Contracting Support Brigade/Theatre Contracting Command (409th CSB/TCC) intends to issue a solicitation for the acquisition of a Utility truck with Front Mounted Flail Mower and Spreader Loose Material (Salter Unit) for USAG Stuttgart, Germany. Statement of NEED/Specifications for a Truck Utility with Front Mounted Flail Mower and Spreader Loose Material (Salter Unit) STATEMENT OF NEED/ Specifications Concept: The items and equipment listed below will be delivered as an end item and component to replace existing equipment that is past the end of life-cycle. This equipment is mission essential as it is required to support the Roads and Grounds Section of the Directorate of Public Works. The new items and equipment will be delivered key ready in order to support the required mission. The contractor will provide all manuals, components and specified support components for the equipment. One important condition requirement is that the vehicle and its components are compatible with current existing mission equipment, (Leave Suction Trailer, Snow Plough and Water Tank). Project Conditions & Timeline Delivery and training will take place in accordance with the agreed upon delivery date coordinated between the Government and the successful offeror. The vehicle will be delivered and per demonstration, turn-key ready with all support equipment and components. It is the contractor's responsibility to monitor the Government-Wide Point of Entry (GPE) for the solicitation release and all subsequent amendments. The anticipatory issue date for the solicitation is fifteen (15) days from the posting of the pre-solicitation. The delivery will be FOB destination to Stuttgart, Germany.
