Description

PRE-SOLICTATION NOTICE FOR THE LODGE HISTORIC RESTORATION AT ALEXANDRIA NATIONAL CEMETERY IN ALEXANDRIA, VA The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), National Cemetery Administration, is soliciting bids under Solicitation Number VA786A-15-B-0046 for the following: Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment and supervision necessary to provide the lodge historic restoration an Alexandria National Cemetery in accordance with the Statement of Work, Drawings and Specifications as it relates to the following: BID ITEM 1: GENERAL CONSTRUCTION: A general contractor with restoration experience capable of installing a new heating system, small window lock repairs, kitchen repairs for a leaking pipe, exterior soffit repair, and various site improvements to include replacing concrete porch and other small repairs per the Statement of Work. The historic lodge restoration shall meet all conventional standards for historic restoration projects. MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION: Between $25,000 and $100,000. CONTRACT DURATION: Period of Performance is approximately 45 calendar days from date of receipt of Notice-To-Proceed. NAICS CODE: 236220 SIZE STANDARD: $36.5 Million METHOD OF AWARD: THE GOVERNMENT CONTEMPLATES AWARD OF A FIRM FIXED-RICE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT UNDER 100% COMPETITVE SET ASIDE FOR SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB). Basis of Award: Award will be made on a competitive basis using Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR) 14 to the bidder that is responsive, responsible and lowest priced Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. OBTAINING SOLICITATION MATERIALS: Solicitation material consisting of the Invitation for Bid (IFB) details may be accessed ONLY via FedBizOpps at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. No telephone requests will be accepted. The cut-off for questions shall be September 8, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. EST. All emails shall be sent to lenora.stephens@va.gov. All emails shall be entitled, "VA786A-15-B-0046 - Alexandria National Cemetery - Questions." SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS: Any amendments to the solicitation will be up loaded to FedBizOpps.
