- THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT AND NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS. The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), Research Triangle Park, NC intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with BIO-RAD Laboratories, Inc., Hercules, CA 94547, pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1)--Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Award is subject to Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition (JOFOC) approval. This purchase is for the following items: 1)1855485-CFx384 Touch Real-Time PCR Detection System, (1 each); 2)-1855195-CFX96 Touch Real-time PCR Detection System- (1 each); 3)-HSP3805-Hard Shell Thin-Wall 384 Well Skirted PCR Plates. Package of 50, clear shell/white well PCR plate for higher fluorescent signals, rigid 2-component design-(1 each); 4)-HSP9601-Hard Shell Thin-Wall 96 Well Skirted PCR Plates, Package of 50, white shell/clear well PCR plate, rigid 2-component design; 5)-msb1001-MICROSEAL B ADHES SEAL, 100/pk- (2 each); 6)- TLS0801-Low-Profile 0.2 ml 8-Tube Strips Without Caps. Package of 120, thin-wall polypropylene 8-tube strips for PCR and low volume reactions; natural, (960 tubes)-(1 each); 7)-TCS0803-Optical Flat 8-Cap Strips. Package of 120, 8-cap strips for 0.2 ml tubes and plates for PCR and optical reactions, ultraclear- (1 each); 8)-1708840- iScript RT Supermix for RT-qPCR, 25 Rx- (2 each); 9)-1725271-SsoAdvanced Univ SYBR Grn Supermix 5xl ml- (2 each); 10)-1725281-SsoAdvanced Univ Probes Supermix 5x1 ml. These systems allow for mRNA quantitation and single-Nucleotide polymorphism analysis using very small volumes in a high-throughput 384 -or 96-well format. These systems are compatible with existing PCR and cell culture technologies currently in use within the lab, thus eliminating experimental bias that can result from the use of equipment from different manufactures. The software provided with these instruments is fully compatible with the data analysis software routinely in use by the lab. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability. Respond to this requirement by submitting written capabilities/specifications to the Contract Specialist at the address stated below. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responses received within 8 days from the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no affirmative responses are received within 8 days of this notice to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, an order will be placed with BIO-RAD Laboratories. The NAICS Code/Size is 334516/500 EMP. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in conjunction with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and is not expected to exceed the Simplified Acquisition threshold of $150,000There is no solicitation package available.
