Description

There is no solicitation. The United States Fish and Wildlife Service, Contracting and General Services Division in Portland, OR has plans to award using other than full and open competition to John Platz of Boring Oregon for historic preservation work at Malheur National Wildlife Refuge. Performance period runs one base year and potentially could include up to four additional option years. Firm has been working with the Refuge since 1996 on stabilizing and restoring historic structures in accordance with standards established by the Secretary of Interior for structures listed on the National Register of Historic places. Given his unique capabilities and intimate knowledge of the follow on work required at this facility, the Government would anticipate a substantial duplication of costs that would not be recovered through competition. This synopsis is a notice of intent to issue award using other than full and open competition and is not a request for competitive proposals. The determination of the Government not to open subject requirement to full and open competition was made IAW FAR 6.302-1. Technical inquiries may be directed to Carla Burnside at (541) 493-2612.
