Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: The Department of Veterans Affairs Wilmington VA Medical Center, 1601 Kirkland Highway, Wilmington, DE 19805, intends to award a sole source Firm-Fixed-Price Purchase Order to Cornett & Associates, LLC, for boiler water and cooling system treatment services at the Wilmington VA Medical Center. This requirement is for technical services and supply all water treatment chemicals necessary to control corrosion, scale, bacteria, algae and microbiological issues throughout two (2) 500 ton Trane Centrifugal water cooled chillers and cooling tower. Also, includes technical services and supply all water treatment chemicals necessary to control corrosion and scale throughout three (3) steam boilers at 20,000 pounds per hour,(1) Fire tube Boiler at 10,000 pounds per hour, condensate and water softener systems at the Central Steam Plant. This contract action is for services for which the Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of VAAR 819.7007 (Sole Source Awards to SDVOSB). Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 561210 with a small business size standard of $38.5M. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. Responsible sources may identify their interest by submitting capability information by 3:00 P.M., EST, on Tuesday, September 8, 2015, in order to establish the ability of the source to meet this requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not be responsible for any costs associated with the preparation of responses to this notification.
