Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitated is issued by the U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA), Fort Detrick, MD in support of the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRID), Fort Detrick, MD. PURPOSE: For use with assay development and the fielding of already established and validated assays to forward laboratories for pathogen identification. LIST OF REQUIRED LINE ITEM(S) Item #1: 2X REACTION MIX, SPCL 10ml QTY: 21 DESCRIPTION: Must be a buffer mix optimized for reverse transcription and PCR amplification. Must be optimized for universal use that allows addition of primer and template at any desired concentration. Must be compatible with real-time PCR assays including SYBR Green and TaqMan probes. Item #2: PLATINUM TAQ DNA POLYMERASEQTY: 10 DESCRIPTION: Must be a hot-start recombinant taq polymerase. Must have an activation temperature of 94 degrees Celsius for conformity with existing, validated assays and instruments. Must be active at the extension temperature of 72 degrees Celsius for conformity with existing, validated assays and instruments. Must be capable of amplifying over 8 kb targets as well as being suitable for use with real-time PCR assays including SYBR Green and TaqMan assays. DELIVERY: These items are needed at a USAMRID in Fort Detrick, MD, 21702-5711. Delivery is FOB Destination no later than 30 days after date of contract. This notice is unrestricted. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 325413 In accordance with DFARS 252.204-7004, all contractors who wish to do business with the Department of Defense must register in the System for Award Management (SAM) database https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/. Offers must be submitted in writing; oral offers will not be accepted. Quotes will be evaluated on the basis of lowest price technically acceptable (See FAR 52.212-2 in full text attachment) and any resulting contract will be issued as an open market Firm Fixed Price Award. All responses to this solicitation must be submitted to the email address listed below no later than 4:00 PM Eastern Time Thursday, 3 September 2015. Late quotes will NOT be accepted.
