- Amendment to Solicitation. Amendment purpose is to provide responses to questions and changes to the Performance Work Statement (see details in attachment). Questions and Answers: Question: The Cisco SX20 cannot natively support dual camera feeds; we would recommend upgrading to the SX80 to allow for more flexibility and robustness in connectivity, otherwise the cameras will have to be ran through a separate switcher. Please confirm what direction should be taken. Answer: The requirements are for the VTC to support multi-point (capability to do video on one camera and push a PowerPoint to the distant end), support at least 2 cameras, and not be at "End of Life" by the manufacturer. Both the Cisco SX80 and the Polycom RPG 720 meet these requirements but the Cisco SX20 does not. Question: The CP3 does not have enough RS-232 connections to control all intended devices; we would recommend the Pro3. Please confirm which direction should be taken. Answer: Recommend like equipment that is capable of supporting the required connections. Question: The Belkin F1DN102B is not a "Kernel-Based Virtual Machine" but a secure Keyboard / Video / Mouse switch. Please confirm if a kernel based virtual machine is required for this installation. Answer: Dependent upon configuration, a secure KVM switch is required to switch from SIPR to NIP VTC. Question: What is the physical layer transport medium for the SIPR network into the space? Answer: SIPR connection is through Ethernet (IP), which is terminated in the conference in a lock box. Question: Who will provide all necessary fiber optic converters? Answer: If required, the contractor will provide any fiber optic converters. Question: Will a TACLANE encryption be required? Answer: No, SIPR IP is available in the conference room. Question: Who will provide the TACLANE encryption? Answer: Government Question: DSP 12 is not a valid Biamp part number. Please clarify. Answer: TesiraFORTÉ TI, if required, as it is based on the system engineered. Question: What is the existing lighting control system? Answer: Standard lighting, no dimming function. Question: What is the interface to the existing lighting control system? Answer: Standard lighting, no dimming function. Question: Under the podium section, "Connection to SIPR/NIPR" is referenced: 1. Is this in regards to video connectivity to the room A/V system? 2. Are dedicated video feeds required to the A/V system, 1 NIPR and 1 SIPR? 3. Is this in regards to network connectivity? 4. Who is responsible for network connections to the room/podium? Answer: The room has both a SIPR and NIPR connection. Request the podium have wired connections to to both SIPR/NIPR/ and connections to displays. Question: What classification levels will be presented in this space? Answer: Secret Question: Has the base's information assurance officer approved a single codec solution for multiple classification levels? Only unclassified and Secret Answer: Only unclassified and Secret Question: Which does the VTC need I/P or ISDN? Answer: I/P only. Question: Is the current projection screen installed smaller than the requested screen of at least 123"? Answer: Yes, the current projection screen is smaller. Requirement calls for installation of a recessed screen. Question: The televisions that are currently installed, is that were the new screens will be placed? Answer: Yes, all televisions (including smart) will be installed in the same location as the existing. Question: How many cameras? What is the overall objective? Overall view of the conference room meeting or close up individual? Answer: Would like the capability to have both vantage points. Question: Do you require the contractor to do the electrical aspect on the motorized shades? Answer: No. Contractor will install ready for connection. Connection to electrical will be done by base facilities. Capability to control the shades does need to be established with the touch screen control panel. Question: How many pre-sets do you require for the control panel? Answer: Depends on the capabilities of the equipment installed. At least capability to when going to secured network to draw the shades. Question: Would you like the shades to be its own selection on the control panel? Answer: Yes. The ability to keep them up or down at the discretion of the meeting being conducted. Question: What is the overall objective in regards to the lighting system? Who will be responsible for the electrical aspect? Answer: There are five light boxes in the room. The objective is to permit them to be dimmed when conferences are being done on the screens to reduce glare. The electrical aspects will be the Government's responsibility to install. Question: Did you want a separate VTC control for SIPR and NIPR? Answer: No one is sufficient. Would like to stay with the switch between the two networks. Question: How many audio microphones do you want? Answer: How every many are needed to fully cover the room. Question: Do you require the speakers to be replaced? Answer: The current speakers are operational. The wiring does need to be integrated into the new system. But, are open to pricing for new speakers. Question: Where will the lectern be placed? Answer: Optimal will be on the opposite side of the room it is currently located on. Which will require wiring to be adjusted by the Government. But, are open to keeping it in the same location. Question: Does the lectern require a microphone and prefer pop-up panel or back panel for plug ins? Answer: Yes a gooseneck microphone will be sufficient. Prefer to have a pop-up panel. Question: What kind of sign is needed? Is ProLite required? Answer: No. The sign can be a simple basic that can be manually turned on to show "Secured." LED is not required. Question: With SIPR in the facility is wireless equipment acceptable? Answer: No. All equipment installed must be wired. No wireless is permitted to be in the facility. Question: Does the whole team doing the installation require Secret clearance? Answer: No. Only the contractor representative that is going to test the SIPR network connects will be required to have a clearance. All other technicians do not require a security clearance. Question: Is the contractor responsible for TAC lines? Answer: No. The TAC lines are already established and the contractor is not required to move or reconfigure. Question: Is white noise required? Answer: No. Question: Is training required for the Smart Board? Answer: Yes, to be included with training requested in Performance Work Statement.
