Description

INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office (NCO 6) for the Asheville VA Medical Center intends to enter into a sole source procurement with GE Medical Systems - Information Technologies Division for upgrade to the facility's telemetry system. The new system components must fully integrate with the existing GE telemetry system and communicate with the Carescape Gateway. The needed equipment components for the upgrade are on GE Medical's FSS contract V797P-2239D. NAICS code 517919 applies to this procurement. The proposed contract action is for an equipment upgrade for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of Intent is being posted in compliance with FAR 5.301 and FAR 8.405-5. This notice is not a request for quotations and no solicitation will be made available. Interested persons may identify their interest in this requirement no later than 10:00 AM EST, September 3, 2015 to: dori.dabbs2@va.gov. Please include whether your company is a GE authorized distributor and your FSS contract number (if applicable). Telephone inquiries will not be accepted. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. No solicitation will be made available. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
