Description
Presolicitation for USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN (CVN 72) Post Delivery Correction Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to negotiate and award a contract on a sole source basis to Huntington Ingalls Incorporated - Newport News Shipbuilding (HII-NNS), for advance planning and execution of the Post Delivery Sea Trial discrepancies and the Carrier Incremental Availability (CIA) following the Refueling Complex Overhaul (RCOH) of USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN (CVN 72). These efforts will provide for the advance planning, documentation, engineering, procurement, ship checks, fabrication and shipyard work necessary to prepare for and accomplish Post Delivery Corrections (PDC) resulting from the RCOH. The PDC period will include the CIA for accomplishment of shipyard work at Naval Station Norfolk. The advance planning for the PDC contract is scheduled to commence January 2016 and the execution period of performance is anticipated to be performed from November 2016 through December 2017. This requirement will be negotiated on a sole-source basis in accordance with the statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 (a)(2)(ii). No solicitation documents exists, but parties who believe they are capable of meeting this requirement are encouraged to submit a statement of capabilities to contract representative Robin Kloeppel by email at robin.kloeppel@supshipnn.navy.mil. The Government will not pay for any information received and the information will only be used by the Government in considering whether or not to conduct a competitive acquisition.
