Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center 1601 Brenner Ave, Salisbury North Carolina 28144 intends to negotiate a Sole Source commercial item service contract with the Salvation Army for transitional housing to Veteran Families. The contractor shall provide diagnostic and therapeutic services in medicine, surgery, rehabilitation medicine, psychiatry, and skilled nursing home care for Veteran Families. The facility will also provide homeless shelter services to Veteran families requiring transition program to aid homeless Veterans families for the VA Medical Center, Salisbury, NC. The contractor shall provide Temporary Residential Shelter to include but not limited to, beds, restrooms, bath, kitchen facilities, and related furnishings. Adequate safety and security measures in accordance with VA standards and in conformance with state and local safety and health codes as outlined in 38 CFR, Section 17.53b. A request for proposal for (VA246-15-Q-1241) will be issued within one week. The proposed contract action is for services which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501(a). This is a notice of intent to award a sole source procurement action and is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested parties may submit a capability statement that demonstrates their firm ability to provide the services described above. Interested parties must provide rationale as to why they should be considered and identify their interest and capability to this response no later than September 7, 2015. 12pm, EST. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
