- Solicitation Number: HSCG40-15-R-31504 Notice Type: Sources Sought SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE: MODIFICATIONS TO USCGC WAESCHE. This SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE is for market research purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Proposal/Quotation; and, it is not considered to be a commitment by the Government to award a contract nor will the Government pay for any information provided; no basis for claim against the Government shall arise as a result from a response to this Sources Sought Notice or Government use of any information provided. Pursuant to FAR Part 10 (Market Research), the purpose of this notice is to: (1) Determine if sources capable of satisfying the agency's requirements exists. (2) Determine if commercial items suitable to meet the agency's needs are available or could be modified to meet the agency's requirements. (3) Determine the commercial practices of company's engaged in providing the needed service or supply. Pursuant to FAR Part 6 and FAR Part 19, competition and set-aside decisions may be based on the results of this market research. This notice in no way obligates the Government to any further action. 1. The Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center, has a requirement for qualified sources to modify helicopter hangars of the USCG 418' WMSL WAESCHE. Period of Performance: It is anticipated that a firm fixed-priced contract will be awarded with total modifications taking 5-8 weeks. Place of Performance: The work will be performed dockside, at the Coast Guard Island, Alameda, CA. 2. Summary of anticipated work: Port and Starboard helicopter hangars on the USCGC Waesche require modifications to allow for fitment of the Navy HH60. Modifications will include adding / modifying tie down locations, minor and major structural and ventilation system modification, and relocation of non essential items inside hangars 3. Your response must include: (a) A positive statement of your intention to submit a bid for this solicitation as a prime contractor (b) Evidence of experience in work similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, and points of contact with telephone numbers (c) Past performance references including points of contact and telephone numbers. At least two references are requested, but more are desirable. All submissions shall be made in writing to Ian H. Quillman at Ian.H.Quillman@uscg.mil and shall not exceed fifteen (15) single-sided pages. At this time, the USCG DOES NOT have an estimated time frame for the release of a solicitation and this is NOT a request for quotations/proposals. The above questions and/or information must be received no later than fifteen (15) calendar days from the date this notice is published. Information received after this period may not be considered.
