Description

This is a request for information. This is not a request for proposal. There is no solicitation available at this time. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this RFI, nor will the Government compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing the information provided to the Government. This RFI does not constitute a commitment by the Government. Any information provided in response to this market survey will be used for informational purposes only and will not be released. Any proprietary information submitted will be protected if appropriately marked. Vendor participation is not a promise of future business with the Government. The purpose of this RFI is to conduct Market Research to determine an acquisition strategy for establishment of food service catering contract for the VA Indianapolis Domiciliary to be located within the Indianapolis, IN area. Final location to be determined after award of leased facility. The Richard L Roudebush VA Medical Center (RLRVAMC), Indianapolis, IN is conducting market research to determine if there is a sufficient number of certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB), Hubzone Small Businesses, or 8(a) firms capable of performing the requirements to warrant a solicitation set-aside. The proposed solicitation is for establishment of food service/catering service contract. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, supplies and supervision (except, see attachment-Appliance List) to prepare a minimum of three meals per day to veterans at Domiciliary Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program. Each meal will be for a minimum of 40 residents, and typically no more than 50 residents. The contractor shall also provide personnel to facilitate the preparation of and approval of all rotating menus, serving, and cleanup of general serving/eating area in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, and local health and sanitation regulations. The contractor shall possess a current Food Service Permit issued by the State of Indiana. Estimated solicitation date is on or around October 1, 2016 with an estimated award date of October 1, 2017. The intended contract base period is anticipated to be 1 base year with four 1-year options, depending on Market Research.
