Description
This is a non-personal services agreement to provide services to inspect and service for a five year period for the Alimak elevator located in the Surge Tank Structure of the Oahe Powerhouse. The elevator is a Linden Alimak Mini-Scando 4/9 rack and pinion passenger elevator rated at 900 pounds. Add: This is a non-personal service agreement to provide services for a four year period for annual inspection of the main passenger elevator located in the US Army Corps of Engineers, Oahe Project Powerhouse Pierre, SD. The elevator is a Hollister-Whitney MCE elevator rated at 4,000 pounds. The Government shall not exercise any supervision or control over the agreement service providers performing the services herein. Such service providers shall be accountable solely to the Contractor who, in turn is responsible to the Government. 1.1 Description of Services/Introduction: The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform the inspection and services as defined in this Performance Work Statement except for those items specified as government furnished property and services. The contractor shall perform to the standards in this agreement. 1.2 Background: The inspection and services will be performed on the Alimak elevator located in the Surge Tank Structure of the Oahe Powerhouse. Add: The inspection services will be performed on the Hollister-Whitney passenger elevator located on the main floor of the Oahe Powerhouse. The Contractor must ensure they can perform to USACE specifications by providing references and/or samples of work upon request. 1.3 Objectives: Revise: Perform required annual inspections of elevators as listed in Bid Schedule. Revise: Perform safety drop test as required annually on Alimak elevator.. Revise: Supply and install safety device as required on Alimak elevator.. 1.4 Scope: The elevator will be inspected yearly and certified for use, in accordance with applicable safety codes, federal and state regulations and per manufacturer's recommendations. The elevator will be safety tested per manufacturer's recommendations and industry standards yearly. If repairs are found to be necessary, the Contractor will notify the COR immediately and provide costs to perform repairs. The contractor shall provide a report of the inspection. The safety device will be supplied and installed in the option year of the contract. The Contractor will be responsible for delivery of the part to the site. The Contractor is responsible for all travel and per diem to and from the site.
