- Description
- The Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE) Region Depot Jacksonville, Florida requires assistance with the repair of the bevel gears which are used in the Power Take Off assembly (PTO). FRCSE does not have the capability to insert the carbon seal necessary to complete the repair. The TF34-100 engine powers the Air Force A-10 Thunderbolt II aircraft. The A-10 ™s primary mission is to provide close air support to the ground forces of the United States Military. Instructions for this repair are not available in the DEPOT maintenance manuals. The Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) is General Electric (GE). GE ™s requirements take precedence and sources must be certified through GE ™s Qualified Vendor List and hold a current certification for this repair.
