Description

Western Area Power Administration (Western), Rocky Mountain Region (RMR) intends to acquire on a sole source basis, Geomagnetically Induced Currents (GIC) Module, under authority of 10 U. S. C. 2304(c)(1). The resulting procurement will be conducted in accordance with FAR Parts 12 & 13. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. Western plans to purchase from Siemens Industry, Inc. a (GIC) module for use with their PTI Power System Simulation Software for Engineers (PSS/e). The NAICS for this action is 511210 and the size standard is $38.5 million. Responsible sources may submit a capability statement in response to this notice, which shall be considered by this agency. Capability statements must be received within five calendar days after the date of publication of this notice, and shall include documentation on ability to satisfy the Government's requirements. Any information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Questions concerning this notice may be directed to Kevin P.
