Description
Justification for other than full and open competition In accordance with FAR Subpart 5.2. this is a Notice of Intent that will be publicized on the Federal Business Opportunities website as required by FAR Subpart 5.2. This notice must be published for at least 15 days before issuance of a solicitation, or a proposed contract action the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR Subpart 6.302-1 entitled "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements". The Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG) intends to award a contract to Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation, on behalf of the Voice of America (VOA) for rebroadcasts of the Urdu language program "Aap Ki Dunyaa" from 18:10-18:40 Monday - Sunday Pakistan time. Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation is currently under contract to deliver the program according to the schedule above. This is a notice of intent and is not a request for competitive quotations or proposals. No solicitation is available. Firms that believe they can provide equal or superior products that are capable of meeting the government's needs are encouraged to identify themselves and provide a substantive statement with descriptive literature and any other supporting information to the Contracting Officer within 15 days of publication of this notice. All information received within 15 days of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government to determine if more than one firm can meet the Government's requirements and is capable of providing equal or superior products. All responses shall be in writing and must be received by the contracting office no later than deadline provided in this notice. Responses may be e-mailed to atgartne@bbg.gov.
