This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 0040215246 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The Bureau of Reclamation, Pacific Northwest Region, Grand Coulee Power Office (GCPO), has a requirement for power cable as specified below: Ethylene-Propylene Rubber (EPR) shielded three conductor Type MV-105 power cable rated 15kV with 133% insulation, copper tape-shield, and PVC jacket. Conductors shall be uncoated copper compact stranded per ASTM B-496, 250 MCM, covered with an extruded layer of semiconducting EPR thermosetting compound, 133% of EPR insulation with an extruded-EPR semiconducting insulation screen. The extruded semiconducting EPR insulation screen shall meet requirements of ICEA S-93-639/NEMA WC74, AEIC CS8, and UL 1072. The extruded semiconducting EPR strand screen shall meet or exceed the electrical and physical requirements of ICEA S-93-639/NEMA WC74 and UL 1072. The metallic bare copper tape shield shall be 5-mil, helically wrapped with a minimum of 12.5% nominal overlap applied over the semiconductor screen. The conductors shall be assembled with one bare stranded copper ground conductor as well as fillers and binder tape. Cable assembly shall include color coded (black, red, blue) polyester ribbon laid longitudinally under the copper tape shield for phase identification. Ground conductor shall be uncoated copper compact stranded per ASTM B-496 and sized in accordance with UL 1072. A black polyvinyl-chloride (PVC) jacket shall be applied over the cable assembly which meets or exceeds the electrical and physical requirements of ICEA S-93-639/NEMA WC74 and UL 1072 for polyvinyl chloride jackets. PVC jacket shall be resistant to oil and most chemicals. Cable shall be suitable for use in wet or dry locations, exposure to sunlight, in any raceway or underground duct, direct buried, and cable tray installations. Cable shall have a normal operation temperature rating of 105 deg C, emergency temperature rating of 140 deg C, and short circuit temperature rating of 250 deg C. Cable shall pass the UL 1072 and IEEE 383 vertical tray flame test requirements. Cable shall comply with NEC Sections 310-7 and 710-4(b) for direct burial. Cable jacket shall be permantely marked to include, but not limited to, sequential foot markings, cable size, type, material, and UL listed marking. Cable shall have a manufactured date within 24 months from the date of delivery. Cable spools shall have cable lengths such that unspliced continuous individual runs can be made without cable waste remaining on the spool. Individual cable run lengths are as follows: • 2 spools at 1900 feet each. • 4 spools at 1600 feet each. o Description Provided
