Description

Biomedical Wastes The Malcolm Randall Veteran Affairs Medical Center (hereinafter known as 'VA Medical Center'), a Division of the North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System, 1601 SW Archer Rd, Gainesville, Florida 32608 provides primary, secondary and tertiary healthcare to eligible veterans in a wide area of northern Florida and southern Georgia. The accomplishment of this mission results in the generation of Biomedical Wastes, as defined in Chapter 64E - 16.002 (2) of the Florida Administrative Code. As a result, the VA Medical Center is obliged to either destroy such wastes on-site or utilize the services of a competent contractor to dispose of such wastes in accordance with the pertinent federal, state, and local regulations that may apply through the pick-up, loading, labeling, manifesting (as appropriate for accountability), transportation and destruction by high temperature incineration (including air emissions solid and/or ash that may result there from) and any regulations required by organizations from which the VA Medical Center seeks accreditation. Service-disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, and hub-zone small business, small disadvantage business, and women-owned small business concerns may respond by submitting a qualification letter stating the following information: 1.Name 2.Capability Statement (include exact items stated in this notice) 3.Duns# 4.Type of business (i.e.,SDVOSB, VOSB, WOSB. ETC ¦) Responses must be received in writing or fax no later than 2:00 p.m. EST Sept 18, 2012, responses should clearly state their ability to the provide for the equipment if the solicitation is issued, it will be announced at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to the solicitation announcement separately from their responses to this announcement. Responses to this sources sought is not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation.
