Description

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office (NCO 6), intends to enter into a sole source procurement negotiations with Bio-Optronics, Inc., for an annual software maintenance agreement for the BioPoint Patient I.D. System located VA Medical Centers within VISN 6 (VAMC Asheville, Beckley, Durham, Fayetteville, Hampton, Richmond, Salem and the Health Care Centers in Greenville and Wilmington). The VA has a requirement for a one-year software maintenance/service contract for a BioPoint Patient I.D. System with the possibility of four option years. The software maintenance agreement in on GSA contract GS-07F-3783A with Bio-Optronics, Inc. The NAICS code 541990 applies to this procurement. This announcement is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302-1 and FAR 8.405-6 (a) and (b). Other persons may identify their interest and capability by responding in writing to this requirement by September 9, 2015 3:00pm Eastern. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all interest received on or before September 9th will be considered by the Government. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements and their government contract number, if applicable. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
