Description
US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) will be issuing a solicitation for the purchase of two (2) turbine headcovers and associated supply items to be used with the turbine headcovers. The turbine headcover also known as the sump plate is the most interior stationary component of the headcover assembly. It mounts to the inner flange of the inner headcover with 48 fasteners and is located directly above the turbine runner. Its primary purpose is to keep water from entering the power house and help provide structural rigidity to the headcover assembly. The packing box and the oil sump are mounted to the headcover. The packing box is used to provide a water seal around the rotating shaft. The oil sump is an oil reservoir for lubrication of the turbine guide bearing. The following is the list of all items to be purchased: Two (2) Turbine Headcovers and Fasteners. Two (2) Oil Sumps and Fasteners. Twenty (20) Sump Plate Studs. Twenty (20) Nuts for Sump Plate Studs. Four (4) Packing Box Bolts. One Hundred and Six (106) Seal Ring Machine Screws. Two (2) Seal Ring Segment Sets. Two (2) Sets of Packing Box, Gland, Lantern, and Fasteners. The USACE will also reserve the right to exercise the following options items: Six (6) Turbine Headcovers and Fasteners. Six (6) Oil Sumps and Fasteners. Sixty (60) Sump Plate Studs. Sixty (60) Nuts for Sump Plate Studs. Twelve (12) Packing Box Bolts. Three hundred and eighteen (318) Seal Ring Machine Screws. Six (6) Seal Ring Segment Sets. Six (6) Sets of Packing Box, Gland, Lantern, and Fasteners. After issuance, solicitation and supporting documents will be made available on the Federal Business Opportunities website https://www.fbo.gov. The acquisition will be pursued in an Unrestricted, Full and Open competition. This opportunity is expected to result in a lowest Price Technically Acceptable, Firm Fixed Price, Commercial Supply Contract Award. The NAICS Code for this solicitation is 332710-Machine Shops.
