Description
DO NOT CONTACT POSTER - L. NEWHOUSE. FOR ANY INFORMATION PLEASE CONTACT: Stephen Chiu, Electronics Engineer, (443) 395-6435 This is a market survey to locate additional sources for NSN 7035-01-591-0115 Blue Force Tacking 2 (BFT-2) Ground Vehicular Transceiver. The BFT-2 Ground Vehicular Transceiver (a.k.a. BFT-2 Ground Transceiver) provides real-time situational awareness, dramatic improvements through faster Position, Location Information (PLI) refresh rates of seconds, and greater information throughput capabilities to the Warfighter. It is an essential component in the US Army's Joint Capabilities Release (JCR) AN/UYK-128A(V)3, JCR-Logistics (JCR-Log) with Military Rugged Tablet Plus (MRT+) Mobile Unit AN/UYQ-90(B)(V)2, JCR-Logistics (JCR-Log) with Military Rugged Tablet Plus (MRT+) Control Station AN/UYQ-90(B)(V)3, Joint Battle Command-Platforms (JBC-P) AN/UYK-128B(V)3, AN/UYK-128D(V)3, JBC-P Log Mobile Unit AN/UYQ-90B(V)4, JBC-P Log Control Station AN/UYQ-90B(V)5, and JBC-P Command Posts AN/GYK-62G, and AN/GYK-62H. The BFT-2 Ground Transceiver utilizes the Blue Force Tracking 2 satellite network that offers greater accuracy and capacity than the original BFT system, providing real-time location updates, instant messaging, and IP-capable networking to mobile air and ground platforms to network users around the globe. The Warfighter achieve real-time position accuracy by operating through the BFT-2 Ground Transceiver running full-duplex on one of many satellite channels through satellite ground station equipment installed at L-hand satellite provider sites and controlled worldwide by satellite network control centers to communicate with other Warfighters on the network. The BFT-2 Ground Transceiver is a single Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) which combines the antenna with RF assembly and the modem assembly. With embedded, NIST-certified FIPS-140-2 Level 1 AES-256-bit based link-layer encryption, the system ensure secure connectivity over the satellite channel, protecting sensitive communications. Built-in redundancy enables the system to achieve 99.95% network availability. BFT-2 Ground Transceiver is to work with both of the next two versions of FBCB2, namely JCR and JBC-P.
