Description

The proposed action is for the installation of a complete Nurse Call System at the Togus VAMC, One VA Center, Augusta, ME 04330. The work will include a complete replacement of all devices at their current locations to include master stations, bed stations, call buttons, dome lights, interface modules, and pagers. The installation will be in B200E-3rd floor SCU, B207-2nd floor CLC, B07-3rd floor CLC, and B200-4th floor short stay rehab units. TekTone systems are currently operational at the Togus Medical Center which runs all Nurse Call throughout the campus. This project will only have to modify the existing system instead of installing a completely new, station-wide setup costing millions of dollars. Any other method of procurement would result in unnecessary expenses to the government as TekTone is already the standardized system on the facility. This is for the continued development of a major system on the campus that is highly specialized due to multiple buildings being on one interface.
