- Salient Characteristics - Optical Disk Archive Controller This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6 as supplemented with additional information contained in this notice. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the August 3, 2015 Federal Acquisition Regulation revision, which includes the consolidation of all Federal Acquisition Circulars through 2005-83. The NAICS code for this soliciation is 541519 Other Computer Related Services and the business size standard is $25 Million. The business size standard is This announcement constitutes the formal Request for Proposal (RFQ) and NO additional written solicitation will be issued. It is anticipated that ONE AWARD will be made from this solicitation. It is the intent of the National Library of Medicine (NLM) to procure an Archive server to manage a SONY optical disc archive library model #ODS-L30M with 30 slots and two ODA drives including Nearchive integration module for Avid interplay, installation and training for Nearchive. ****Salient Characteristics for this requirement are attached to this solicitation. All vendors submitting quotes must be authorized re-sellers of the system. All items must be new and come with a warranty.**** Vendors must submit their response to this RFQ via the NLM electronic Contract Proposal Submission (eCPS) website at https://ecps.nih.gov/nlm. Responses must be submitted electronically via one.pdf document (including pricing information) and must be received in the eCPS system no later than 3:00 p.m. (Local Prevailing Time) on Wednesday, September 16, 2015. For directions on using eCPS, go to https://ecps.nih.gov/nlm/home/howto and click on "How to Submit." NOTE: To submit your electronic proposal using eCPS, all offerors must have a valid NIH External Directory Account, which provides authentication and serves as a vehicle for secure transmission of documents and communication with the NLM. The NIH External Directory Account registration process may take up to 24 hours to become active. Submission of quotes by facsimile or e-mail are NOT accepted. Firms interested in responding to this notice must be able to provide the professional services required by NLM. All responses from responsible sources will be considered.
