- Description
- Repair eroded channel bank downstream of the outfall structure. Erosion repair area is 120 long, extending approximately 100 feet downstream from the outfall structure and approximately 20 feet above the outfall structure. Erosion repair will consist of excavating eroded bank to a 1V on 2.5H slope, compacting subgrade, placing 6 inches of bedding material and capping with 18 inches of riprap. Riprap protection height will extend 4.5 vertical feet from channel invert. Riprap at the outfall structure will be rebuilt per original design, but will be tied into erosion repair area, using a curve with a 50-foot radius. Riprap will be toed in into the channel bottom to prevent underscoure. The rest of the embankment above riprap will be rebuilt with cohesive fill, compacted, graded to match existing slopes, topsoiled, and seeded. Erosion protection will be used until sod establishment.
