- Draft Performance Work Statement Notice of Intent to Sole Source The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) intends to award a sole source Firm-Fixed Price services contract to AudSoft Inc. located at 1327 Ashton Road, Suite 203, Hanover, MD 21076 as the only responsible source available to support the AudBase software. The statutory authority permitting the acquisition of this requirement by other than full and open competition is Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) citation 13.501(a) and the FAR citation title is "Special Document Requirements, Sole Source (including brand name) acquisitions". This requirement is to provide audiological support services to the Air Force Hearing Center of Excellence (HCE) located at Lackland Air Force Base, TX for the AudBase software. The services include continuous unlimited telephonic and remote dial-in support, critical updates to the database software, on-going training, user account setup/ configuration, remote reload of software on new/ replacement computers, configuration of saved search queries, remote assistance for AudBase client settings, and database management. In addition, services shall include the design, development, testing, and implementation of enhancements to the AudBase software. AudSoft Inc. is the manufacturer and sole source for the AudBase software. There are no other authorized vendors, distributors or providers of the software. The AudBase software was installed throughout the Department of Defense's (DoD) Medical Treatment Facilities under a prior contract. This sole source award is a continuation of the services. This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures. There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement.
