- OFFADD: 42 CONS/LGCA 50 LeMay Plaza South Montgomery, AL 36112 SUBJECT: Remote Controlled Bird Deterrent System DUE: 18 September 14 POC: Lori Bartz, Contract Specialist, Phone: (334) 953-5005; Fax (334) 953-3543 DESC: The 42 nd Contracting Squadron at Maxwell Air Force Base is requesting information for Remote Controlled Bird Deterrent System with electronic multi-bang LP gas cannon. This is a Request for Information (RFI) ONLY. It is not a Request for Proposal (or solicitation) or an indication a contractual commitment will exist for this requirement. THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT INTEND TO AWARD A CONTRACT ON THE BASIS OF THIS RFI OR OTHERWISE PAY FOR THE INFORMATION SOLICITED. The purpose of this market research (Source Sought) is to determine if the Remote Controlled Bird Deterrent System below is commercially available. CLIN 0001: Scare Wars Remote Controlled Bird Deterrent System with electronic multi-bang LP gas cannon. Must be self-contained, motorized rotating platform, and synthesized VHF or UHF radio receiver. Brand name or equal. ( QTY 14 Each) CLIN 0002: Scare Wars Remote Bird Deterrent unit with Bird Distress Cry Generator. Must have 200 watt amplifier with 8 distress cries played selectively or randomly. Brand name or equal. ( QTY 6 Each) CLIN 0003: Scare Wars Master Workstation (computer and master control). Must be Windows based Pentium PC with advanced graphical user interface, RF output of 5 watts/radio frequency narrow band. Brand name or equal. ( QTY 1 Each) CLIN 0004: Scare Wars Hand Held Transmitter. Must be able to control individual units or group without restrictions. Brand name or equal. ( QTY 3 Each) CLIN 0005: Scare Wars Base Antenna. Must be 3db gain fiberglass antenna and transmit radio data to all remote bird deterrent units. Brand name or equal. ( QTY 1 Each) CLIN 0006: Scare Wars 3.1 Software. Must be Windows based with customized Airfield diagram depicting location of deterrent units, history report and upgradeable capabilities. Brand name or equal. ( QTY 1 Each) Firms responding to this RFI are asked to provide the following information in their initial response: company's full name, business size, address, point of contact, and a clear indication as to whether or not they can provide the items the government is seeking. Final responses to this RFI will be due at 2pm, Central Standard Time (CST), on 18 September 14. As industry may expect to see portions of submitted information in future solicitations, portions of the response containing proprietary information should be clearly marked as such. Information submitted will not be returned to the respective respondents. Oral submissions of information are not acceptable and will not be accepted in response to this notice.
