Description

This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 12.6, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures under the test program for commercial items found at FAR 13.5, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. This combined synopsis/solicitation SHALL be posted on both FEDBIZOPPS and NECO (https://www.neco.navy.mil/). The RFQ number is _N00189-15-T-0475. This solicitation documents and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 2005- 83_ and DFARS Publication Notice 20150826. It is the responsibility of the contractor to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. The NAICS code is 332710 and the Small Business Standard is 500. The Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk requests responses from qualified sources capable of providing HVOF (High Velocity Oxy-Fuel) Spray Services on three areas of 6 each Lift Fan Shafts (P/N 5749555-015) that are worn and damaged. The shafts have variable levels of wear and damage to the seal landing and threaded surfaces. These must be milled down, a thermal spray coating applied to rebuild the damaged area and re-milled to tolerances on sealing surfaces. The threaded areas must be milled down, fill weld to reconstruct the damaged area then milled and rethreaded to tolerances prescribed in drawing #5749555. The services shal include prep, weld damaged thread areas as necessary jper procedure, rough machine welded areas to determine sufficient wel and re-machine threads. METCO 4008 shall be used to prep and build up certain areas if necessary. HVOF Spray three areas of the shafts with METCO 5803, finish grind size and surface finish requirements. The desired time of repair is 45 days. The shafts will be shipped to the contractor ™s facility for repairs and shipped back to customer upon completion of work.
