Description

The Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center intents to issue a sole-source procurement action with Hologic Limited Partnership, 250 Campus Dr., Marlborough, MA 01752, for the following items: NovaSure Ablation System, manufacturer part number NS2007 for 2 boxes. The purchase of the items will take place at the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center located at One Freedom Way, Augusta, GA 30904. The authority cited is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or service will satisfy the requirement. The reason for this determination is that the products are critically needed in the GYN Clinic and that the manufacturer of the product is Hologic Limited Partnership. This is a Notice of Intent to award a sole source procurement action and is not a request for competitive proposals. Firms who want to challenge the sole source must submit an interest letter that demonstrated your firm's ability to meet the requirement as described above. Interested parties must provide a rationale as to why they should be considered. All interested firms must respond by Saturday, September 12, 2015 no later than 12:00PM EST. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Funds are currently available for this procurement.
