- THIS IS A SYNOPSIS ONLY. This is not a solicitation, request for quote, or proposal and no contract or purchase order will be awarded from this notice. There is no solicitation, specifications or drawings available at this time. There is no solicitation, specifications or drawings available at this time. The Military Sealift Command has a requirement for the USNS COMFORT (T-AH-20) Midterm Availability (MTA) beginning on or about 22 February 2016 with a performance period of 45 days. The MTA will be conducted at a contractor's facility on the Gulf/East Coast, U.S. The estimated issue date of this solicitation (N32205-15-R-5001) is on or about 1 October 2015. After issuance, the solicitation may be obtained on the FedBizOpps website: https://www.fbo.gov/. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Major work items (WI) include but are not limited to the following: 102 Damage Control Locker No. 3 Arrangement Modifications 103 Mooring Rollers 201 Super heater Tube Removal 302 Switchboard Cleaning 401 Annual GMDSS S-VDR and LRIT Systems Certification (ABS) 402 Radar ECDIS Preventive Maintenance 403 Gyro Maintenance 404 Antennas System Maintenance 405 1MC Circuit Groom 501 Diesel Hot Start 502 Crane Maintenance 504 Anchor Windlass Groom 505 500 Ton AC Plant 30,000 Hr Maintenance 506 Elevator Test and Inspection 507 Annual Firefighting Inspection 601 Refurbish Crew Stateroom 602 Refurbish Showers 603 Tile Replacement 604 Life Boat Inspections 605 Aft Galley Deck Cover Replacement 606 SCBA Compressor Inspection 701 Refurbish MFT Spaces 702 Repair Meat Prep Box 703 MTF Berthing Space Head Overhaul 704 Medical Stowage Pallet Stowage The solicitation will be released as a small business set-aside. Market research from the sources sought identified two or more small business capable of performing requirements for the upcoming MTA. The MSC Small Business Office concurs with the small business set aside determination. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. The appropriate NAICS Code for this requirement is 336611, Ship Building and Repair, which has a small business size standard of 1,000 employees.
