Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, and is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is set aside 100 percent for small business. Requirements The VA requires the purchase and installation of a Chemical Fume Hood Name Brand or Equal to Flow Sciences, with the following salient characteristics: Bypass system that assures all air entrained by the hood is actively used to engage, contain, and exhaust fumes from the containment area. Provides safety from chemical vapors generated during chemical processes including reflux, distillation, flash chromatography, evaporation, and other process equipment application. "This hood must have 36" Solvent FH Cabinet, 35.5"H by 22" D, 2Doors, Center open. "This hood must have 72" FH Superstructure. "This hood must have 72" Epoxy Top. "This hood must have 2DX, 1 Light Sw, 1 roof DXDX, 1 Fluorescent lamp all prewired 120VAC. "This hood must have Velocity alarm 120 VAC. "This hood must have Air Valve, 59" Inlet Hose, 20" Outlet Hose, 45 Degree Outlet. "This hood must have Vacuum Valve, 59" Inlet Hose, 20" Outlet Hose, 45 Degree Outlet. Installation and Delivery to: VA PITTSBURGH MEDICAL CENTER UNIVERSITY DRIVE C, BUILDING 6 Pittsburgh, PA 15240 The following clauses and provisions are incorporated FAR 52.211-6, Brand Name or Equal FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation -Commercial Items Evaluation. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforms to the solicitation. The government will award a contract to the offeror whose quote is considered to be the best value based on the following evaluation factors in descending order of importance: Technical Capability, Past Performance, and Price.
