Kingsbridge Road Rm. 9b16 Bronx NY 10468 Synopsis: Please note that this is not a request for quotes or proposals, the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Northport VA Medical Center, is conducting a market research to find qualified vendors to provide the following item for the Northport Campus: "Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) Upgrade (please see the attached draft statement of work for a full description of the requirement). The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources for this procurement relative to NAICS 561621. Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Responses to this notice should include company/individual name, a service capability statement, examples of similar facilities which you have provided services to, DUNS number, address, and point of contact. If your firm is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned or Veteran Owned Small Business, you must be CERTIFIED in VetBiz (see internet site: http://vip.vetbiz.gov). Contractor must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) (see internet site: http://www.sam.gov). Responses to this notice must be submitted in writing (email) and received no later than September 22, 2015 at 12:00PM EST. Questions, if any, should be emailed by September 17, 2015, at 12:00 PM EST. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced on Federal Business Opportunities website at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Email capabilities statements and questions to: Marshand.boone@va.gov. DRAFT STATEMENT OF WORK A.GENERAL INFORMATION 1. Title of Project: Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) Upgrade Project - Tunnel System at VAMC, Northport, 79 Middleville Road, Northport, NY, 11768. 632-15-3-5303-0137. 2. Scope of Work: The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed-Price Contract to provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to upgrade our existing Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) System for the Northport VA Medical Center by expanding full video surveillance throughout our tunnel (basement level) system. This includes requirements for the design, installation, and implementation of a new network system and video monitoring equipment that is fully compatible with the existing video monitoring system. The contractor shall provide all resources necessary to accomplish the deliverables described in this statement of work (SOW). The following work will be performed in order to accomplish this upgrade. "A total of 56 cameras will be installed in the ground level tunnel system that connects 13 of the campus buildings. "All cameras are to be network cameras that will communicate via IP back to the Telecom closet located at building 200. "The new network is to be built by the contractor. "Switches and associated network components are to be consistent and approved by the VA IT department. "This new security network is to be independent and dedicated to security only. "Where available, contractor to utilize spare fiber located in communication closets. Where not available, contractor to supply new fiber to communicate back to Telecom closet located in Building 200. "Cameras are to be vandal resistant. "All cameras covered in this scope of work are to be integrated into the existing American Dynamics Video Edge Victor VMS platform. "A minimum of thirty days storage must be maintained on this system. "Contractor must be certified in Video Edge by American Dynamics with references for successful work on Victor Platform in installations of similar size and scope. Cameras in this scope of work are as follows: Two (2) cameras in Building 12 Four (4) cameras in Building 11 Three (3) cameras in Building 10 Three (3) cameras in Building 9 Four (4) cameras in Building 8 Four (4) cameras in Building 7 Five (5) cameras in Building 6 Four (4) cameras in Building 65 Three (3) cameras in Building 64 Four (4) cameras in Building 63 Five (5) cameras in Building 62 Two (2) cameras in Building 61 Thirteen (13) cameras in Building 200 Other contract requirements are: "Contractor to provide network diagrams of proposed network. "Contractor to have a service office located within 25 miles of VA MC Northport, NY. It should be noted that this contract does not involve access to VA sensitive information and does not involve access and/or connection to the VA information system. 3. Background: VA Handbook 0730/4, Appendix B, dated March 29, 2013, recommends/requires these types of physical security measures at VA facilities. 4. Performance Period: The contractor shall commence work within thirty (30) days following the contract award. 5. Type of Contract: Firm-Fixed-Price. 6.
