Description

This is a pre-solicitation notice. The Southeast Regional Maintenance Center intends to issue a request for proposal (RFP) on a full and open competition basis to solicit sources capable of supporting a Continuous Maintenance Availability (CMAV) to include bulwark repair, fuel oil tank repair, helicopter flight deck repair, bulkhead repair, stern tube seal replacement, low pressure air compressor (LPAC )replacement, gas turbine resilient mounts replacement, various electrical cabling, conduit, and receptacles preplacement, sound powered telephone jack box, replacement, ventilation heater controller repair, ventilation ducting repair, vertical stores handling conveyor repair, switchboard repair and provide antenna array face resurface support on USS PHILIPPINE SEA (CG 58). Offerors must have or be able to obtain an Agreement of Boat Repair (ABR) by the time of award. Market research was conducted from 10- 21 August 2016 and this solicitation will not be able to be set aside for Small Business. The Small Business Representative provided concurrence on 02 September 2015. This synopsis is for information purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or any Government commitment. The Government will not reimburse interested parties to this notice for any costs associated with responding or subsequent information exchanges. Future announcements will appear on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at https://www.fbo.gov, which interested parties should monitor for updates. In accordance with 10 U.S.C. 7299a(c), the "Homeport Statute", this procurement will be competed among offerors capable of performing the work in the Mayport homeport area. The Government expects to post the RFP on or about 07 OCT 2015.
