Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 22, intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, to Varian Medical Systems, Inc., 3100 Hansen Way, Palo Alto, CA 94304. The proposed action will acquire preventative maintenance and repair services for Government-owned Varian radiation therapy equipment and software systems at VA Long Beach and Greater Los Angeles Healthcare Systems. The required services are for Clinac Linear Accelerators, Clinac iX, Trilogy, TrueBeam, and Oncology Software Systems (Eclipse, ARIA and Argus Support) including all associated components. The estimated period of performance is for a base period of one (1) year plus four (4) one-year options from October 1, 2015 through September 30, 2016. This notice of intent is NOT a request for capability statements, quotes or proposals. This notice is to comply with the posting requirements identified in FAR Part 5.101(a)(1). A copy of sole source justification will be subsequently posted within 14 days after contract award in accordance with FAR Part 6.305 (a).
