- SOURCES SOUGHT This Sources Sought is being issued for planning purposes only and it is not a solicitation or pre-solicitation. Responses to this notice are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. THE UNITED STATES AIR FORCE WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY COSTS INCURRED BY INTERESTED PARTIES IN RESPONDING TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT. The 628th Contracting Squadron at Joint Base Charleston, SC is seeking contractors who are capable of providing the supplies/commodity items according to the following paragraph: The Contractor shall provide all labor, management, equipment, tools, and materials necessary to repair and test one (1) each GYRO-TRAC GT18 mulching machine for the Logistics Readiness Squadron at Joint Base Charleston - Air Base, Charleston, SC. Repairs/Testing involve: 1. Part Replacement: remove an existing inoperative hydraulic drive motor and replace it with a new hydraulic drive motor (to include all seals,bearings, and gaskets) necessary to make the machine operational; run the entire hydraulic system through filters to eliminate any metal shavings or other foreign matter; and replace all hydraulic filters. 2. Testing: test run the machine after replacement of part(s) identified above to ensure reliability of the hydralic pump motor and machine (includes checking for and repairing leaks or any other arising defects). 3. Replacement: removal of defective part(s) and installation of new parts to test the machine to ensure functionality/operability Contractors must be able to begin work within a fifteen (15) calendar day period. A Fixed Price type contract is contemplated. AT A MINIMUM, THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS REQUIRED: (a) A positive statement of your intention to bid on this contract. (b) Business Size, Duns, Cage Code, Tax ID, and Point of Contact. (c) Capability Statement to include the condition of items sought. All of the above information must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on availability of interested businesses. Failure to submit all information requested may result in a contractor not being considered as an interested vendor. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 811310 with a small business size standard of $7.5 Million size standard. It is anticipated the solicitation will be issued electronically on the Federal Business opportunities web page at http://www.fbo.gov. Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to visit this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. All prospective contractors must have a current and valid CAGE code and DUNS number in order to be eligible for award.
