- Notice of Intent to Sole Source The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 3 (NCO 3), James J. Peters VA Medical Center - Bronx, New York intends to award a sole source contact under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253 (c)(1) (FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements), to Association of American Colleges, 2450 N St. NW - Washington, DC 20037-1118. This action will result in a Firm-Fixed Price contract with a period of performance of twelve months, no option periods. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. There will be no solicitation available for competitive quotes. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which shall be considered by the agency. Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Respondents should reference VA243-15-N-1545 Notice of Intent in the "Subject" line. The point of contact for this requirement is Josie Tuitt, josie.tuitt@va.gov. Responses to this notice shall include company/individual name, a service capability statement, including examples of similar facilities for which services have been provided, DUNS number, address, point of contact and socio-economic category (i.e. SDVOSB, VOSB, 8(a), HUBZone, WOSB, EDWOSB, Small Business, Large Business). Determination not to compete this proposed contract upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted. If no viable responses have been received by the closing date of September 18, 2015 at 10:00AM E.T., the Government shall negotiate solely with Association of American Colleges. Background This requirement is a continuation of an affiliation with the AAMC Organization which provides support for education and research and patient care activities. The James J. Peters VA Medical Center (JJP) requires ongoing monitoring of federal issues impacting medical education and other information supplied by this affiliation. Membership in professional development groups is beneficial to JJP mission as a teaching hospital. James J. Peters VA Medical Center have a large resident program with Mt. Sinai Hospital, Hospital for Special Surgery and Columbia School of Medicine and it is essential JJP remain current on training and hospital related events.
