Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Technology Acquisition Center (TAC), located at 23 Christopher Way, Eatontown, New Jersey 07724 intends to enter into a contract on the basis of an exception to fair opportunity to purchase 200 small duty monochrome printers and 5 large duty color printers with a 3-year extended warranty for all printers. This action will be issued under VA's Multiple Award, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Enterprise Printer Contract VA118-15-D-0101. These printers are to replace obsolete and end of life printers currently being used in various VA Central Office, Information Technology System Support (ITSS) locations. VA TAC intends to award this action to HMS Technologies, Inc. (HMS), 1 Discovery Road, Martinsburg, WV 25403, pursuant to authority 41 U.S.C. 4106(c)(4) as implemented by FAR 16.505(b)(2)(i)(D), entitled "It is necessary to place an order to satisfy a minimum guarantee". This IDIQ contract was made competitively, which included FAR 52.216-22, Indefinite Quantity, which establishes the minimum guaranteed value of $50,000.00 for each contract award made under the Enterprise Printer Contract IDIQ. This delivery order is being issued to HMS to satisfy the minimum guarantee. The proposed solicitation number for this effort is VA118-15-Q-0785. There is no place of performance for this acquisition as the printers will be delivered to various ITSS locations. The applicable North American Industrial Classification System code for this effort is 334118. The estimated date of award for this action is September 23, 2015. This notification shall close on September 23, 2015. This is a notification of intent, not a request for proposals.
