Description

Synopsis for Solicitation number N70272-15-Q-0055 This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR 13.106-1(b). The Naval Communications Telephone Master Station Atlantic, Norfolk VA intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source contract to Eaton Corporation, 8609 Six Forks Road, Raleigh, NC 27615, for certified Eaton repair services on an Eaton standalone Uninterruptible Power Source unit in Chesapeake VA. The proposed contract action is for commercial supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501(a)(1)(ii). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. However, all bids, proposals, or quotations received by the closing response date will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 811310. This is not a Request for Quote. This is a written notice to inform the public of the Governments intent to award on a sole source basis for the required services.
