- 508 Compliance 508 Compliance Clauses CLIN 0001 Software to Support Multimodal Display Experimentation using a DIS Simulator with the following accessories: Two (2) 12 Channel ATA Tactile Belts with intergrated controller Two (2) Bluetooth controller / interfaces Two (2) battery, charger, Power supply One (1) TDK (Software Drivers) One (1) Taction Creator Software One (1) EAI-M Custom Software Package: develop and test One (1) Phone Support, 6 months (vi) Description of requirements C.2 Requirement The Contractor shall develop a software interface for the control of tactile (between their 12-channel ATA Tactile Belt and the Government owned IES), auditory, and visual cueing displays. C.2.1 The Contractor shall provide and deliver two (2) wearable, battery-operated, wireless 12 Channel ATA Tactile Belts with integrated controllers that meet the following requirements: • 2 - Bluetooth controller / interface • 2 - Battery, charger, power supply • 1 - TDK (Software Drivers) • 1 - Taction Creator Software • 1 - EAI-M Custom Software Interface: Develop and test • The tactile belts must be adjustable to ensure that it fits varying body sizes. • The Contractor shall ensure the tactile belts are battery operated and integrated with controllers capable of wireless communications. • The Contractor shall ensure that the integrated controllers does not impede the performance of research participants when they are required to perform combat maneuvers (i.e., walking, crawling, climbing etc.). • Each of the 12 tactors will be positioned 30 degrees apart in each of the 2 tactile belts. C.2.2 The Contractor shall ensure the device and software meets the following requirements. C.2.2.1 The Contractor shall ensure the Taction Creator Software allows for the manipulation of several vibratory parameters such as gain, frequency, durations, and waveform. C.2.2.2 The Contractor shall ensure Interface will monitor even data of the simulator and use DIS protocols that have been established to pass event data over a local network. Specifically it shall monitor the information of targets presented in the simulator. C.2.2.3 The Contractor shall ensure the Interface communicates event data to the firmware of the tactile belt to initiate tactile cues. C.2.2.4 The Contractor shall ensure the Interface communicates event data to an Android device to initiate visual cues. C.2.2.5 The Contractor shall ensure the Interface communicates event data to wireless headphone to initiate auditory cues. C.2.2.6 The contractor shall ensure the Interface allows the user the flexibility to select the type of cues (i.e., visual, auditory, and tactile) that are employed in a given study. The interface shall allow the user the flexibility to employ combinations of cue types in a given study. C.2.3 The Contractor shall travel to the ARL facility located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD for the installation and integration of the developed software system with the Government owned IES. The Contractor shall install and run the software as well as calibrate ensuring full functionality such that the user can monitor event data and allows the ability to configure the type of visual, auditory and / or tactile cues that are associated with various targets. C.3 Anti-Terrorism (AT) and OPSEC. C.3.1 Access and general protection/security policy and procedures. This standard language is for contractor employees with an area of performance within Army controlled installation, facility, or area. Contractor and all associated sub-contractors employees shall provide all information required for background checks to meet installation access requirements to be accomplished by installation Provost Marshal Office, Director of Emergency Services or Security Office. Contractor workforce must comply with all personal identity verification requirements (FAR clause 52.204-9, Personal Identity Verification of Contractor Personnel) as directed by DOD, HQDA and/or local policy. In addition to the changes otherwise authorized by the changes clause of this contract, should the Force Protection Condition (FPCON) at any individual facility or installation change, the Government may require changes in contractor security matters or processes. C.3.2 For contractors that do not require CAC, but require access to a DoD facility or installation. Contractor and all associated sub-contractors employees shall comply with adjudication standards and procedures using the National Crime Information Center Interstate Identification Index (NCIC-III) and Terrorist Screening Database (TSDB) (Army Directive 2014-05/AR 190-13), applicable installation, facility and area commander installation/facility access and local security policies and procedures (provided by government representative), or, at OCONUS locations, in accordance with status of forces agreements and other theater regulations.
