- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Air Combat Electronics Program (PMA 209) intends to negotiate a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) with Honeywell International Inc., 1944 E. Sky Harbor Circle Phoenix, AZ 85034 for the period of 1 October 2015 to 30 September 2019. The BOA is for the procurement of hardware material, engineering and technical support for the Advanced Multi-Purpose Display (AMPD) and Advanced Multi-Purpose Color Display (AMPCD). This acquisition is being pursued on a sole-source basis under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2301(c) (1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1, "only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." Honeywell is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of all Advanced Mission Computer and Displays. Honeywell is the only company that has the software required to successfully support fleet and program support requirements. Companies interested in subcontracting opportunities should contact Honeywell directly. This synopsis is not a Request for Proposals. The Government does not intend to fund the development or qualification of other sources for fulfilling this requirement. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which shall be considered by the agency.
